What a great day in the Smokies!

The Leadership Sevier Class had an incredible National Park Day learning more about one of the greatest treasures right here in our own backyard – Great Smoky Mountains National Park!
Throughout the day, the class got a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to protect, preserve, educate, and operate the most visited national park in the country. From learning about biodiversity and black bear education, to hearing about visitor protection, resource management, facility operations, and the important work happening every day throughout the park, there was so much to take in!
We also loved learning more about Smokies Life and Friends of the Smokies and the important roles they play in supporting and preserving the park for generations to come.
A huge thank you to everyone who shared their time, knowledge, and passion with our class and helped make this such a fun and memorable program day.
We are so fortunate to have the Great Smoky Mountains National Park right here in our community!
Another great day of being introduced, informed, inspired, and involved!
